City Council puts off vote on new impact fees
The Tucson Citizen
The City Council on Tuesday delayed a vote on a new set of impact fees meant to pay for expanding the Police and Fire departments.
The council decided 6-0 to continue the issue to Aug. 6. Councilwoman Shirley Scott was not at the meeting.
City Attorney Mike Rankin said the vote was delayed because builders haven't reviewed the final version of the fees, which was released Friday.
Rankin said "minor changes" had been made to the public safety impact fees but that builders and others affected by the fees had not met to review the proposal since May.
