March 19, 2007Payday loan reform bill back
An effort to reform the payday-loan industry has been resurrected at the state Legislature..The bill, SB 1446, aims to make payday loans consumer-friendly by eliminating rollover loans, capping the number of loans outstanding and creating a no-fee repayment plan if a consumer can't pay off the loan within 14 days
