PHOENIX - A federal judge has temporarily blocked criminal enforcement of a new Arizona law that bans sales of items that use names of U.S. troops killed in Iraq without permission of their families.

The judge granted a request by a man who sells anti-war T-shirts displaying names of service members killed in Iraq. The T-shirts say "Bush Lied — They Died."

Most Arizonans want state lawmakers to follow the Phoenix’s lead and ban text messaging while driving, according to a new state poll.

A survey by KAET-TV, the Phoenix PBS affiliate, shows 87 percent of those polled support a law that would make it illegal for motorists to send messages from cell phones, personal-digital assistants and similar devices while they are operating a motor vehicle.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona has received a three-year, $8.3 million federal grant to help fight against methamphetamine abuse in the state.

The money will support the expansion and enhancement of meth treatment and recovery services through drug courts. That will mean more options for substance-abuse treatment and recovery, including faith-based services.

When agents came across the man he already was convulsing, a sign a person is heading into a heat-related death.
